For JOE Institutional Delegates: Characteristics of JOE Institutional Delegates

Extension Directors and Administrators may be faced with appointing a new JOE Institutional Delegate. Here are a few characteristics to keep in mind when considering who is best prepared to take on the assignment

  • Someone who is committed to supporting JOE . The commitment must come with an independence to carry out the expectations and the ability to balance the additional time commitment. A two-year appointment is recommended, with up to 24 hours per year to carry out the responsibilities.

  • Someone who has a relationship with JOE, either as an author, a reviewer or a loyal reader.

  • Someone who has exhibited an individual and/or organization commitment to communications, professional development or scholarship.

  • Someone who can add JOE Institutional Delegate to their vita as service to the institution or to their position description as assigned duties.
